We all love Amazon, but life's too short for products that disappoint.

We've all been there: scrolling through Amazon at 11pm, adding random products to our basket, reading varying reviews, and hoping they'll actually be good.

As the founder of NecessaryGood, I'm constantly testing products, looking for things that actually work without the fuss. I've spent way too much time (and money) navigating the wild world of Amazon. So here are the products that have genuinely earned a place in my basket - plus some exciting news about NecessaryGood.

1. Rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint Lip tints were all the rage in 2024 and continuing in 2025, for good reason. They give long-lasting colour to lips in the most natural way. While I love an efficient beauty product, not all of these new lip products are as great as they claim. I discovered this particular lip tint on my trip to Korea from Rom&nd, who are known for their lip products. Think your lips, but better—and they actually last. I was so happy to discover they're available in the UK on Amazon. I use the shade “Bare Grape” and my evening hack is to add gloss on top for a little something extra.

2. BABOR Refining Enzyme and Vitamin C Cleanser I discovered powder cleansers in Korea as well, and absolutely love this one from Babor. It's a really fine powder and you can control the texture by how much water you add. So easy to travel with, cleanses beautifully, and gently exfoliates without being harsh like a traditional scrub.

3. e.l.f. Camo Liquid Blush I love liquid blush and used to be loyal to the one from Rare Beauty, but then discovered this similar product from Elf that's much more affordable. The shades and finish are incredible, and you need just a tiny dab because it's so pigmented. I use the shade “Pinky Promise” for a traditional, pink blush and the shade “Copper Etiquette” for a more bronzed look. For less than £10, this product is truly amazing.

4. Peppersmith Spearmint Chewing Gum I always have a box at home because I do like chewing gum sometimes, but also discovered that xylitol helps boost saliva flow and inhibits Streptococcus mutans, the main cavity-causing bacteria, helping reduce plaque and strengthen tooth enamel.

5. Sndyi Silicone Body Scrubber I really love this silicone body scrubber. It helps me in the shower without being harsh as the bristles are so soft, and it doesn't get dirty and gross like a traditional loofah.

6. Orionstar Laptop Stand Essential for anyone who works from home. I used to spend hours hunched over my laptop, resulting in terrible neck and back pain. This stand really helped me so no more slouching or squinting.

7. Garnier Summer Body Gradual Tan Moisturiser Deep This is the best fake tan out there. I tried them all and they were always orange, patchy, or so much work. With this one you don't need a mitt, just apply like regular body lotion and after a few hours you'll get the most natural-looking tan. The trick is getting the deep shade even though I'm quite pale, as it gives a more natural but noticeable hue. I apply weekly and a bottle lasts more than a month!

8. FITTIN Racerback Sports Bra I used to buy more expensive sports bras until I realised nobody sees them—they just need to be functional. This does exactly what it should: provides support during workouts without the designer price tag.
