So what's so special about our packaging?
We use innovative Innerbottle® technology, a smart airless balloon system that collapses as you pump—meaning less than 1% of product is left behind. Every drop goes where it belongs: on your skin, not in the bin.

Recycling
Is there anything worse than not knowing what goes where when it comes to recycling? Or worse still, finding out your favourite product isn't as eco 'friendly' as you'd hoped? This comes as this year, The British Beauty Council shared research that revealed a whopping 86% of plastic beauty packaging is not recycled. Even more worrying is that only 14% of empties makes it to a recycling plant and ultimately only 9% is actually recycled. Thankfully big brands like Boots, Tesco and Look Fantastic are launching recycling initiatives to help clear this up. At NecessaryGood, our products and packaging were designed with recycling in mind (not an afterthought) and we've made every effort to choose the best materials created using recycled plastic, while also being designed to be most optimally recycled. There is one small element that is currently not recyclable however its designed to take the minimal possible space in your general waste.
Our handy guide to recycling our products:
Box: Made with carbon balanced paper and FSC certified. Our boxes are fully recyclable (simple pop it in the paper & card bin)
Pump: Mono material PP (simply meaning is a single type of plastic meaning it simplifies recycling by eliminating multi-material separation) - this can be recycled but do check your local guidelines for acceptance
Bottle: 100% recycled plastic. No need to rinse, just recycle
Balloon: The only element of our packaging that isnt recycleable but its the best way to ensure we provide a high quality product with minimal product wastage. After pumping all your product out it'll shrink down into a super small deflated balloon, meaning minimal landfill waste
How to use Innerbottle® technology
All you need to do is pump the desired amount of product out, exactly as you would a normal pump. Inside, instead of a straw type mechanic (known for leaving a lot of product inaccessable) we have the InnerBottlle balloon, full of your amazing NecessaryGood product. Each time you pump out product the balloon, will deflate until it retracts to its orginal size.
Existing packaging can leave up to 30% or more of the contents remaining, by comparison our Innerbottle® leaves less than 1% residue helping to use to the very last drop.
